== Why the template is needed ==
Any fragment without language specified inherits the language of the entire text (here it is English).
* Web browsers can choose a font most suitable for the indicated language.
** Some characters of the languages Chinese, Japan, Korean and Vietnamese look different but use the same Unicode number.
* Text reading devices can pronounce the fragment in its language.
* Language indication is important for spellcheckers.
