Talk:CrimeProblems

I think the discussion seen on the main page should probably be here, as it is written more like a discussion than a Wiki page.

I would like to start here by mentioning the new laws passing in various states regarding age verification for porn sites. It basically runs counter to every principle of anonymity, which is the basis the I2P network and much of Internet culture at large. Perhaps this is the type of repressive law that I2P is supposed to circumvent. Kind of like how I2P circumvents other human rights-ignoring laws in countries like Russia, China and Iran.

Circumventing surveillance is something I believe is a human right that has been ignored and even criminalized ever since 9/11.

It is especially ironic that the ones pushing for laws that deanonymize people online are the same ones crying about social credit systems and digital ID. They are literally pushing for the equivalent of digital ID and don't know it.
